Today, windmills are characteristic of the Dutch landscape and a symbol.
With over a thousand windmills throughout the Netherlands, it’s very likely that you’ll bump into one. The most importants are Kinderdijk, Zaanse Schans and the mills of Schiedam is highly recommended.
WATERWORKS
Waterworks in Hoek Van Holland, a steel construction as large as the Eiffel Tower that defend and protect theirselves agains the flood.
A huge pivoting with two arms than can be turned inwards to seal off the Rhine river. And close every september as test and in real every winter.
